“War In The Air” is a Christian rock song about the unseen conflict surrounding prayer, deception, oppression, truth, and faithfulness. It draws thematic inspiration from the spiritual-warfare ideas explored in Frank Peretti’s novel *This Present Darkness*, while telling its own original story through images of a corrupted town, praying saints, hidden powers, and the coming dawn. The song rejects fear, pride, earthly power, and human strength. Its answer to darkness is steadfast prayer, the authority of Yahweh, and confidence that Yeshua is Lord. The night may be heavy, but it does not own the dawn.
